Clarendon is a day special school for 100 pupils aged 4-16 with moderate learning difficulties. The school is part of the continuum created to meet special educational needs within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The ethos of the school reflects the importance that we place on academic, social and emotional development.
Our emphasis is on developing individual potential whilst fostering caring and positive attitudes. Students participate in a full range of academic and social activities. Clubs to suit all interests are organised at lunchtimes, after school and during the holidays, as well as a Youth Club for our older and ex pupils. We also offer a breakfast club every morning, and a healthy tuck shop on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
We have a team of staff that provide additional therapy sessions: speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, behaviour support, music therapy, and horticulture, all of which contribute towards individual student development.
